TIMSS 6: Ordering Multiple Products

Here are a couple quick ways to order multiple products that I learned at TAUG.

1. On the Call Center, you can select mulitple products from the Quick Pick Products and enter one in the Product Code at the bottom of the screen; then hit Enter Orders to create an order with all of them. They can't be sub-products.

2. On ORD001, when searching for a product, you can hold down Ctrl and select multiple products to be added to an order.

Wow!

As in, not just wow that you can multi-select products, but wow as in wow you can multi-select from searches in general. I didn't know how to do that before.

It was a little hard to figure out how to do it. You have to click in a field, and double click at that, rather than what I consider normal selecting by clicking in that right-facing arrow box. And it seems kind of counter-intuitive to me that you then hit the SELECT button rather than SELECT ALL. And after selecting your subset, if you go back to search from the ORD001 form or wherever, you have to re-run your query even though your result set is again shown, otherwise multi-select won't work and double-clicking will just immediately pop-up that record. Kinda quirky, but multi-select does work. Amazing.

Thanks!
